Well, it was clearly filmed before 5PM (broad daylight), so the dinner suit rankles. I must admin that I rationalized it while watching by noting that the clocks in the film were, I believe, set to the time of the opening ceremony, which was in the evening. It's so nice that there is a place for us to have this OCD discussion.

And while I'm on about it, did anyone also find it odd that the Queen addressed him as "Mr. Bond" rather than "Commander Bond?"

Daylight lasts pretty long in the summer up there.

But the DJ is an iconic James Bond thing, and nobody's worn a stroller for decades. I would have had him wear the exact same thing.

And I wouldn't have thought to have the Queen use Commander Bond either. Mr. Bond is commonly used to address him in the movies, and at a guess, while I'm sure the Queen has seen at least some of those, I doubt she's bothered to read the books.

He's ordinarily an inspiration and I like this a lot but for the frames and the color of the monks. .. there's a fine line between a bit of fun and a sartorial train wreck.

I'm sure the Queen didn't personally write the script... she would've said whatever they told her to say, and since Daniel Craig was in character it should've been written as if he was actually Bond, in which case the Queen should probably have been referring to him as Commander...

You're right about the DJ though, although it was filmed in the day-time it was aired as though it was taking place live at the time of the ceremony, which was in the evening.

Not the ideal in my opinion, but only a small sin. Anyway, I think they may be more of a medium gray, and the photographer has simply boosted the contrast and saturation of the photo.

LB looks great in that photo. Aside from a photo here or there with an ill-fitting collar probably due to an awkward pose, I've never seen LB look anything short of outstanding.

Flusser looks absolutely horrific in that photo posted above with the madras jacket, blue shorts, and pasty legs. Actually of all the ridiculous fits I've seen Nick Wooster put together, this is among the least offensive. All his suits with shorts and tailored clothing in camouflage just completely baffle me. I have no idea why anyone is interested in that. But it seems to be quite popular.

Actually, it looks fine as is. While I generally agree with you about dark trou, here is proof that it can work.
