I hate to pile on, but I don't like Manton's shirt either. To even things out (I hope this doesn't devolve into a "pick out worst outfits by famous SFers, but somebody out there probably has :foo: as their hero), I can't believe this hasn't made it into the thread yet:

foo, that suit is markedly inferior to your gray flannel DB, which remains one of the finest DBs I have ever seen. Why you saw it necessary to fuck with success like that I will never understand.

The combo is not on the same intensity level. Jacket and shirt are both muted and grayed, while tie and square are both bold and true. Your pale complexion would not go well with the jacket and shirt - would make you anemic. The grayed navy is better for someone with rosy complexion and less contrast than you. The tie and square would look swell with you. - M

it's not gray damnit, it's blue, a very summery blue mohair.

The shirt is absolutely not gray in the least.

And, I not that pale, I am a swarthy mediterranean

    Hold on.

I am mentally processing every single color in the color spectrum in place of the color you say isn't gray.

Yes, as I suspected. In every iteration, it's still an ugly shirt. The peachy yellow is aesthetically insurmountable.

Not really yellow, orange, and a bit more orangey than peach.

I know he's oft-maligned, but I do like a lot of what Luca Rubinacci puts together. But WTF is this? Is this supposed to be a finished garment?
