I never forget to button button flies.

I can't say the same for zipper flies.

    +1.

As to expediency, I find a button fly is a good bit slower to do up than a zipper, but not much slower to open.

I like button fly jeans because its more unique. Likewise, I ask Jantzen to make all my shirts with zippers. My cardigans are lace-ups and my shoes have... laces. Because, you know, I don't want to look ridiculous.

Button flies also help contribute to lap whiskering during the fading process. Each button is a foci pulling at the fabric creating the striations.

I've had far more zippers malfunction than buttons.

Yes button flys are more unique. They dont come unzipped. You only need to unbotton one or two to take a piss. Plus buttons dont get jammed or fall off.

you piss through the fly? i have to pull my pants down but hten again i packing a coke can down there

    Less chafing in certain situations.

I've twice caught my foreskin in a zipper. That is not enjoyable.

Also the slidy wotsit sometimes creates an unsightly bulge on your fly (and not the sort that could be confused as indicating a gigantic wang-dang).

Plus, as others have said, zippers can unzip.

the point is charging a few hundred $ more for the same garment, making you think that you are very unique (the opposite is true, I believe, in the case of jeans) while you take 5 minutes to button your fly after urinating.

Guess people don't drink as much water as they should around here.

Get a catheter. Wear bootcut jeans to hide the bag. Problem solved.
