What is the most you have ever won gambling?

For me is just under $25K. Won it in a Masters bet where I picked a combination of a bunch of golfers to finish in different places in the top 20. It was one of those stupid $50 bets with next to no chance. I did two combo's and one of them hit. Other than that I have had a few $2K nights playing cards or whatever, but that was by far my biggest win.

I thought of it today, as I just had a $20 cash in turn into a $500 cash out in hour online black to kill time.

Never learned how to play anything, on purpose - I get a full-blown addiction to everything... but ended up in a casino and started playing roulette a couple years ago, just found myself in this almost psychic zone for the time I played, and was just incredibly lucky almost every time I went - I'd usually put down about $200 a night and walk out with around $1000. A bad night just meant leaving with my money, it was about 60-70% wins and 30 non-wins. I played everyday from like June til September late at night, probably won about $20-30K, just drank champagne all summer.

I don't know what happened, but I definitely felt like I lost my touch one day, and sure enough, it just didn't come back, I went one day and I think I lost $2000 on a table in 5 minutes and then got up and left, never really played again. Didn't even bother to cut up my player's card or anything, just didn't feel like going back.

I've played roulette once more at my brother in law's stag party and got up $1000 and then lost it all plus $200, and then I played for ***** and giggles at the Wynn in Macau a few weeks ago, and lost a couple hundred bucks in a game there, but I'm not gambling anymore, because I never really did before besides my lucky roulette season.

Yeah I don't know, I'm not on anymore anyway, so just a magical legend for the ages now. It was mrcharlybrown who made me go and play for the first time, and he was there about half the days I was winning and saw me pull down some incredible roulette games. I never really stacked them high enough to hit big on anything, I just consistently doubled on $200 games about 4 or 5 times a night and walked out with decent winnings.

my wife (my gf back then) wasn't exactly supportive of my full-blown gambling addiction, but I was winning and she didn't say a thing the whole time, and went with me and watched as well. The only time she interfered was when she started hacking up lungs and I realized it was because we were spending 6 hours a day in smoke filled casinos every single day.

I'd gamble super-small-time back in high-school playing poker with usually meager $20-$80 winnings. When I'd win I'd cash third of it on lotto tickets, since I figured it wasn't money I'd earned. Won ~$200 from lotto once from it.

Otherwise, haven't really done much gambling in years, usually I have things I know I'd rather buy or save for that were specific than gamble since I don't have ton money to throw around. Not sure if that will change with more earnings down road.

when i was in high school, my friends and i would play blackjack, cee lo, and whatever game we could bet on in my friends basement. it got to the point were some of us were winning/losing $500/night. then in college, iused to go on gambling excursions to atlantic city on some random weekday to play poker all night. and when i first moved to the west coast, there were 2 card rooms within 10mins from where i lived so i would go play poker at least 2-3 times a week. after a while though, i just lost interest in it. i would say i had an addiction of sorts in that i loved playing 8+hrs straight, but the atmosphere got depressing and i just never wanted to go back. theres just no more rush in it for me.

as for my biggest single scores, i won a $165 nl tourney for a little over 10k, turned $200 to 6k in craps, and hit my lucky number black 22 on a $100 bet for like >3500. playing poker, mainly 1/2nl, 6/12 limit omaha h/l, and 5-200 spread, id estimate that i ended my poker career up around 20-25k. the most i ever lost in a night was probably 2-3k. but when all is said and done, i probably ended my gambling career around even or a slight winner.

Career wise I must be up $30K or more. I have had some big wins but very few big losses. 15+ years ago I use to hi the casino 6-10 a month and I logged all my winnings and losses i was up 8K over 3 years (not bad as I was in University at the time). I have been a very controlled player and never chased after my losses. I only bet big with house money, so I had to take $20 or $50 and creep it up to $100 or $200 and then make bigger bets and walk when I got to what ever goal number I set (even if I was hot).

Now I play poker at the club a bit, but I feel guilty as the game tends to have too many guys are that are too drunk and play any cards. You can't bluff them as they will call anything, so you just wait for great cards and take there money. They odd time they get lucky as they never fold, but odds are if you play smart poker with them you will win.

I don't go into a casino believing anything regarding patterns or predictability, but I was playing my roulette at the same casino in Korea over and over, and I did feel that since the wheel was hand spun and the dealers at that particular casino would pull through an inordinately long stretch of games before being relieved, sometimes 30 minutes or an hour - I began to see patterns and frequently spun numbers and sure enough, I'd call maybe 5-10 of them at a time and hit on one of those numbers. I feel like Koreans and Asian people in general have incredible muscle memory and just the mechanics of spinning the roulette wheel professionally makes them spin the ball and the wheel with consistent force each time - they were putting down the same numbers, night after night. About 2 months in, I'd just walk onto the casino floor, look for a table with a pattern of previous numbers I felt comfortable with, looked at who was spinning, and would decide to sit down or not. Usually, if I sat down and lost, it was because they'd relieve the dealer a game or two in and I'd have to start over. Like I said, I won a lot, so there must've been something to it....

Tahoe when I was 17 or so. Learned how to play Blackjack. Won $100, then lost $20. Kept $80 and bought a pair of black Nike Air Bound, the same shoe Chris Mullin was wearing with Golden State at the time. They're still with me, crumbling to dusk in the back of a closet.

I have had a few craps wins of between $3,000 and $4,000 - usually buying in for about $300. Blackjack I play quickly and try to get up or bust. Never stay around to long bc I know it's gonna be lost.

I don't play poker, but younger brother does. He has won millions.

Had some friends in college back when poker was really taking off, who quit everythign and went pro, moved to Vegas. Some just stayed locally at school and went to the small riverboat casinos to play senior citizens and tourists to collect a bit of money.
