Is there a formal name for this style of tie pattern?

I know those are stirrups, but there are many other similar patterns that are not stirrups, but have this same sort of layout, for example:

They are usually referred to as equestrian patterns.

I don't think they have an official name, but I'd call them "an interlocking X design" where X is the motif that's interlocking.

Looks like an "H" to me. That is an Hermes design. Whether or not that is an Hermes tie, I don't know.

I think interlocking is probably the right word to describe the pattern, but many of these motif's aren't using anything known. Could probably be described as interlocking abstract.

Yeah, that would pretty much work.

There's usually some sort of motif though, if you look carefully. But if not "interlocking design" or "repeating interlocking design" would cover it. Long words for an ebay or similar sales title though!
