What is the cut on RLPL dress shirts supposed to be like?

So far I own three, all the same tagged size, but there's no rhyme or reason to how they fit. One of them is ultra slim, especially in the waist. Another is a pretty standard, decent-fitting cut. And the last one that I just received today is huge and blousey. Is there any consistency at all to the sizing on these? It makes me want to just not buy any more of them at all and only buy T&A shirts because it's always a mystery what you'll get with RLPL.

Did you get the sports shirts (sizes S, M, L, etc) or the dress shirts (by neck/sleeve)?

All 5 or so RLPL shirts that I've purchased over the years were big/tent like. No mas, it's Truzzi time.

they fit relatively slim, but I would never describe them as slim.

I had one of mine altered to RLBL measurements and it's easily my favorite shirt.

If RL could make shirts that fit like RLBL with collars like RLPL, I'd be a happy camper.

I've never known RLPL to be tagged by neck/sleeve. All of the ones I own are neck only.

I like the collars on the regent cut classic fit...my main complaint is the buttons. I wish I could get that exact style just with better fabric/buttons. Looks like I'll just have to pick up T&A shirts over time when I find decent prices. They fit perfectly and they're the same every time unless custom made.

PL is generally larger in the body and arms than a BL. I don't think your average overweight American could get away with wearing them, but your slightly overweight American male could get away with this a slimmer option to your standard Brooks shirt.
