Mr Humphries is a 70's style icon
For the 2nd half of the 20th C working class kids taking mainly African-American US style, adding a dash of continental chic and traditional British menswear to create something unique.
Sadly nowadays the kids seem to slavishly emulate US 'gangsta' style or else adopt the chav look.
I think of shirts with checks that would be too wild for my pyjamas...
