What is a 'Sensual Elegance' dress code?

Hi everyone,

It seems I was mistaken in my previous thread, when I asked what 'Casual Elegance' meant. I just looked through the Dom Perignon invitation and it said 'Sensual Elegance'! Can't believe I misread it. Anyhow, what does this mean? Somehow, satin springs to mind. Yuck.

My girlfriend will be forever grateful too, if someone can tell her what she should wear to this event. Thanks!

I would dress like a lounge lizard or swinger circa 1971.

Think fitted mohair suits, silk shirts and ties with gold jewelry.

Dresscodes should be about guidance. This is another idiotic code that does not live up to that basic premise.

Silk pyjamas seem in order.

Should dress codes be this ambiguous (read, confusing)? Follow your gut and wear what you are comfortable with...should your judgement be questioned, take solace in knowing the fault was not yours!

Sounds like it'll be a complete circus. Wear a suit, but otherwise do whatever the hell you like..

someone said silk pajamas and, for some reason, i almost feel the same. i'd bring extra clothes just in case everyone else is in something else (yes, i have done this before).

Commision yourself a unstructured silk suit for this very occasion. Wear some Velvet slippers as well.

+1 on the velvet slippers. Nothing comes to mind quicker for "sensual elegance" than a set of velvet slippers, perhaps with some sort of personalized bullion on them.

Isn't that a Zegna marketing campaign?
