What I found in the pocket of my new pants...

I bought some new pants today and when I reached in the back pocket I found a strap of material slightly heavier than the fabric used to construct the legs.

After giving it some thought I guess that this is sewn into the hem to weigh down the leg?

Yeah, when I saw the title I hoped you were going to say "a magic ring", your handses, a knife, string, or nothing.

I had the same thing in the back pocket of the Zegna pants I bought the other day. Wasn't sure what it was either.

Yeah... I think as far as magic pants go you got the bottom of the barrel. They look like nice pants though.

I once found a used condom in a pair of sweatpants I bought at Walmart. It was still wet too

Yeah... what a bummer that tailors here in the U.S. can't be bothered to do this as a matter of course...
