Just curious what members are using for headphones here...for iPod, stereo, anything.

Anyone using a good headphone amp as well?

senn hd-555s. For gaming mainly. I don't like using headphones for music.

Headphones are for whipped audiophile wannabes. Get 'em off, and turn it up!

I have a pair of the newly improved Apple earphones for my iPhone. $80. So bad, it hurts. Ugh!

Been on a portable kick lately. Great for dog walks. Grado 125s plus iPod video 30gb.

Wow, I spent months researching this one about 2 years ago... (I can post if anyone wants).

In Ear Monitors do have their issues (less drive then over ear, gumming up, etc), but I certainly wasn't going to get a big hulking pair of cans (over ear) when the IEM sound including bass is almost comparable. Buds were ruled out, and on-ear too...

Ended up with Shure E2C's... Enjoying the sound, still wondering though if Westone's, or Ety 6i's, or a few other competitors would have been a better call... Thoughts?

I had a pair of E2C's, not bad but pretty unclear. I moved onto the E3 which I liked much better. The Denon C751 is excellent until the cable breaks, I'm on the Klipsch X5 right now which is excellent too. If you like the E2C, you may want to give the C751 a whirl. Excels at bass but still clear. I like the X5, more balanced and much better comfort than the C751.

SR80 at home, E2 on the go

Edit: I must say that I hate the feeling of IE earphones. I can't think of a discreet enough alternative though for trains and noisy areas.

Some sort of Bose over the ear headphones.
