Whatever I don't think I, family member, or a friend might need.
It's best, imo, to give directly to someone who might need or use a thing, and then to open it up to the pool that a thrift store represents in hopes that someone will need or use it.

Lots of books over the years. Gave away a couple of suits, some shirts and a bunch of ties a while back that I just don't wear any more.
