Hey

Size small in american apparel fits me perfectly... and I was wondering if you could suggest other brands with somewhat more formal clothing like v necks and dress shirts

thats cool, interested to see how those fit. H&m slim fit isnt actually slim enough for me. Zara ones are cut pretty well though.

H&M slimfit is terrible if you are larger than a true medium. Its like they forgot to scale up the size of the arms on the larger sizes. I don't even have big arms relative to my chest and I'm pretty sure I'd rip an H&M large if I even bent an arm let alone did anything that actually caused my arm to flex.

I second that. In fact, I think their stuff is much better that American Apparel - we use it for a lot of screen printing here.

I guess they are also a local business for you, too.

yeah. it's a great company that not only makes better clothes than american apparel, but is not owned by a douchebag like american apparel is to the OG poster, you could also check out your local urban outfitters. BDG makes great basic tees that are often overlooked

The catch with BDG basic tees is that most of them are a poly/cotton blend which is great for fit and color fastness but not so much for breathability.
