Depends on your card agreement.

I had a store card that they closed as I used it once for the 10% discount on a big ticket purchase, promptly paid it off and never used again for a number of years. The merchant just closed the account.

I've had another card for years with no use, and they never did anything other than raise my limit and send me lots of cash advance offers.

you have to watch for some cards have conditions where if you dont make any purchase in one year they will charge you an annual fee.

i had a couple of cards that i kept inactive and they after one year of inactivity closed my account and sent me a letter notifying me of it and an option to reopen if i wanted to.

credit limit im not sure if they will raise it just because, usually i use my certain cards that will get me a letter notifying me of a raise in credit limit, or i had to call to ask for one and they usually all do in my case.

Bank I opened an account with sent me a CC for free, with the 1st year's charges being waived. I asked them to cancel it anyway. Small as the probability may be, I don't wanna get my CC stolen and used and go through the stress of clearing this out with the bank.
