Long time reader first time poster! I recently bought a couple of Mastai Ferretti shirts, two OCBD and two dress shirts in twill cloth. After washing them I discovered they all had been damaged as seen on the picture below.

I washed them separately in delicate cycle, low temp using 3 different washing machines. The threads have been torn in the same direction on all shirts, which I find odd because the shirts are not of the same type of cloth.. Some shirts has 3-4 of this type of damage. Have anyone else had this problem? What could possibly have caused this?

Probably a glitch in the manufacturing if this symptom is consistent with different shirts. Twirl the thread and try to poke it in with a needle. Do not cut the thread. You should be able you gently push it through the weave it emerged from. Then you'll be back in business. Welcome to Styleforum.
