Sorry if this isn't the right thread to post this but I'm in need of some advice.

I recently purchased this sweater and can't figure out what style/color shirt to wear underneath to complement it. Ideas?

You might have more luck in the "streetwear and denim" forum

Mmmm.... looks like a tough one. I'd definately go with a light shirt, and minimal pattern if any.

I'm no expert on this but IMO...
for colors, white of course. Maybe a light blue... or navy pants and light pink shirt?

it's a tough one and the pictures make it hard. also, becuase of the small pattern plus large blocks along the bottom and inside it's hard to match with any other pattern becuase it's both solid, striped, and checks so other stuff would clash.

I think it depends on how slim the cardigan/sweater is. IMO, it's gotta be either a t-shirt or a button down collar shirt.

Thanks guys. It does fit a little large. Not a slim fit. I wore a yellow t-shirt underneath it the first time I wore it but it just seems to beg for something a little more. I appreciate the feedback!

I'd ask for a refund, or exchange it for something less tacky or that isn't a cardigan. You could also perhaps regift it to an elderly figure.
