What goes with Taupe?

Im just wondering what colours are acceptable with a pale taupe coloured overcoat? I like adding splashes of colour to my outfits. Normally I wouldve bought a black overcoat just so I can throw whatever colour messenger bag or scarf I want with it, but I find black is much to common these days.
