Hi,

I'm going to a wedding at the beginning of July and am thinking of wearing a green tweed style jacket with chinos and tan brogues, however not sure what colour shirt and chinos would go, any advice?

I'd like to second @Veremund's comment. Tweed in July! You'll be sweating heavily. If I were you I'd dump the tweed jacket altogether and wear something that is suited to the weather that we'll likely be experiencing midsummer.

For my worth, a blazer and chinos is extremely casual for a wedding. It would be remiss of me not to recommend a lightweight/linen suit. If you're UK-based, then I noticed that M&S has a number of good-looking options. If not, I'm sure there is a good (and relatively inexpensive) option where you live.

However, I do hear that more casual weddings are en vogue. A linen blazer and chinos would serve you well and likely be a lot more comfortable (although I'd really, really recommend trousers). Your tan brogues would work well with this kind of style. I'm not sure as to your budget; obviously you'll have unlimited amounts of choice if you can spend a lot of money. If not, stores such as Uniqlo should have a number of lower-cost options. Ebay may also provide some viable options.

If you do insist on wearing tweed (and for your personal comfort, I would strongly advise against it), I would style it as you would dress any other blazer. A white or blue shirt would work perfectly well. I could also see a pink shirt fitting in nicely. I would also recommend wearing a pair of formal trousers with the outfit as opposed to Chinos.
