Thought about jacking another thread but decided not to.

Anways, what type of shoes/sneakers go best with cords. I have some seven cords in a dark blue that i am wearing - or thinking of wearing with a baby blue j.lind polo.

heh just don't go with blue shoes.

I imagine you could go with nearly the whole spectrum, brown or black loafers, captoes, plaintoe or wholecuts, brown or black chelsea boots or chukkas, any number of different sneakers.

Heh you could always just try it out, all you need is a full length mirror, your shoes, and the outfit, I suppose you'll know fairly quickly what works

I don't like black shoes under blue pants. Naturals for cords, IMO, are tan/brown suede, including monkstraps (double-monks are even better) desert boots, and even wingtips. Also brown calf loafers, plain-toes, and Chelsea boots. Any of the above in a dark brown pebblegrain would be great, too. As far as sneakers, most anything will work. Natural Chucks would be a good choice.

Since cords have a more 'rugged' texture, I'd stick with shoes that reflect this. It also depends on the wale of the cords.

With wide-wale cords, I'd suggest suede, some broken-in boots, or sneakers.

If your pants are finer-wale, pretty much anything would work - from smooth leather shoes, to leather sandals, boots, sneakers...whatever your heart desires.
