What Ferragamo line do you think these are?

The stamp on the sole isn't typical of Tramezzas, but the label on the insole is. The topys make it impossible to see the whole sole stamp and the heel toplifts have been replaced so that's no help. Any ideas?

Strange. The cloth fabric on the insole usually denote the Tramezza line, but the open channeling stitching is reminescent of the middle end, lavazione originale (sp?) line.

I'd probably go with the middle end line, as all Tramezza's I've seen are close channeled.

I have seen mainline Ferragamos with the cloth label so who knows? Are those goodyear welted? If so, then they're probably Tramezza.

i'd have to agree that these are lav originales. Tramezzas, in my experience, have closed channel stitching on the soles. I also own a couple pair of lav originales and the soles look exactly like that, without the topy of course. Now, these are US models I own and so I do not know if the tag on the insole reserved for the Tramezza line (in the US market) is used on the insoles of lesser lines in overseas markets. Just a thought.

I was just looking at these and about to post them here with the question "What line is this pair?". If this is the main line, what is the construction? Is that partially covered channeling or is the front of the sole glued and only the waist stitched? And finally, does the "lavorazione originale" tag apply?

So many shoes and so much to learn!

As far as I know, SF has three lines: Studio, Lavarazione Originale and Tramezza. According to jcusey: "The Studio line shoes are cemented and not worth the money they cost. The Lavarazione Originale line shoes are generally Blake-constructed and are often attractive and well-made, if overpriced. The Tramezza line shoes are Goodyear-welted and are very good. "

To answer your question, the shoes in the above referenced auction appear to be blake constructed, as do the pics you posted. So, theyre most likely both Lav Originales.

Incidentally, the Tramezza tag on the insole is different than on the above examples.
