Great topic.

I have to say I find the idea of bringing back extinct animals just to use their pelts amusingly decadent.

- A sabre-tooth tiger pelt duffel coat, using the fangs as toggles, would be interesting.
- Alternatively pterodactyl skin aeroplane carry-on luggage would be a fun reversal.

I would like a big tusk from the wooly mammoth as living room decoration, highly and intricately carved by skilled Chinese artisan hands.

I would also like a tricerotop head to use as a gigantic trash recepticle.

As far as actual clothing, if I can get my hands on a panda pelt that would be sufficient.

Haha, I love Holdfast's ideas.

When we clone a mammoth for research purposes, it's gonna drop dead eventually. At that point, I imagine some paleoanthropologist will propose to see whether its wool can be woven into wool using some prehistoric technologies. If it works even one mammoth would provide quite a bit of wool, enough for several Stone Age overcoats. Would they be soft, warm and durable?

I'd want nunchucks made from two sabretooth tiger teeth.

Are those extinct or just really rare?

As for me, I find that the currently existing animal kingdom has all the pelts and decorations I need...

Some men hunt for sport,
Others hunt for food,
The only thing I'm hunting for,
Is an outfit that looks good...

See my vest, see my vest,
Made from real gorilla chest,
Feel this sweater, there's no better,
Than authentic Irish setter.

See this hat, 'twas my cat,
My evening wear - vampire bat,
These white slippers are albino
African endangered rhino.

Grizzly bear underwear,
Turtles' necks, I've got my share,
Beret of poodle, on my noodle
It shall rest,

Try my red robin suit,
It comes one breast or two,
See my vest, see my vest,
See my vest.

Like my loafers? Former gophers -
It was that or skin my chauffeurs,
But a greyhound fur tuxedo
Would be best,

So let's prepare these dogs,
(Kill two for matching clogs),

See my vest, see my vest,
Oh please, won't you see my vest.
