Yikes, I like/wear lots of this stuff :embar:

For me, no to bowties, tight pants, contrast collar/cuff power shirts, ugly shoes. I have a couple of ascots - even though I'm 50+ I don't wear them really...

I would wear wingtips in any shade of brown or burgundy with anything but a business/formal suit, so yeah, that's mostly casual use for me too. The most formal use I see for them is with a sportcoat, tie and slacks. But I hate black ones, they just look like old man shoes to me...

No bowties or contrast collar/cuff shirts for me either.

Yeah, you don't see them that much in the UK. There's a lot of American clothing I love, but tasselled loafers? To me, they look very feminine. I guess I could add opera pumps to that list too.

Agreed, but I don't think I'll ever like tassels. Too fussy for me. Penny loafers on the other hand, I love the look of.

    • Heavy chunky cordovan shoes, like the Lauren wingtips. I've had two pair, and ended up selling both virtually unworn. No vibe for them.
    • Pretty much any wingtips actually.
    • Black dress shoes at all (3 pair out of maybe 50 total).
    • Tassle loafers (1 pair, and only redeemed by being suede).
    • Most of the boots favored here with suits.
    • Bowties.
    • Very short, tight pants.
    • Loafers (or any shoe) without socks in professional/public environment.

Bright or patterned chinos. The skulls on your pants look stupid, not cool.

Another vote for tassel loafers. I don't mind them in suede, for some reason, but still not something I would buy. My suede loafers are pennys.

Contrast collar shirts. They've always looked wrong to me. Wear a patterned or colored shirt or wear a white one, but make up your mind.

Those overly sleek and structured penny loafers like C&J (and most english makers really) make. To me, they're just an abomination. Penny loafers are not formal shoes, they should not be built like them. The upper is supposed to remold to your foot, and they come to feel like slippers. If it's got any sort of structure in the toe to keep it from doing that, I won't wear it.

It would be shorter to say simply that you are a naturist.

I avoid geometric patterns too and mostly stick with solid ones.
