1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

As you see, unless you put that initialism in a context, there is no way we or you can deduce a meaning. Post some quote or quotes and you may find out that it refers to a noun perhaps and is being used as a verb?

DTO was a guy who joined SF and copied everything that PG did clothing wise. Went to his tailor and got all the same clothes made. So now when someone wants to copy something they say "I'm going to DTO that".

I would suspect he is looking for "design to order"...but then again maybe its "drop trou's often", or maybe "damn that ogre"

    Ok...I'll shut up now.

That makes sense. Thanks for the explanation. I could always guess the meaning of "DTO" from the context and usage, but I was curious what the origin of the term/acronym was.

He is fine, I think. I saw him at Peter Lee last month, ordering something, and thanks God, not DTOing!
