I would like to know what you wear when you are travelling by plane, train or car. Trunks, suitcases and bags are interesting as well, however I am mainly keen to find out what kind of jackets, shirts, trousers, boots and accessories you wear.

generally depending on distance, and whether I need to look smart when I get there, I find regardless of weather; shorts, flip flops, and a cool loose fitting t shirt, with a large hoodie to keep me warm. This way you can be comfortable and its not to hot!

It depends. If leaving from the office, whatever I happen to be wearing - Usually dark jeans or cords with dress shirt under a v-neck sweater. I like to look sharp when travelling, but I must be comfortable as well and not worry about getting anything wrinkled (no suits if I can help it)

first thing, zip fly jeans. I hate ******* around with buttonfly in airplane and truck stop toilets

by plane, some kind of slip on boot or loafer. no mess no fuss at the security checkin. Carryon bag is a Paul Smith burgundy herringbone shoulder bag that easily carries about 2 days of extra clothes plus all the usual bits you carry onboard

car trip, I use late 50s Samsonite vintage luggage set

CP has some sweet black slip on vans type things that i think would be the perfect travel shoe. you could wear them for almost any situation and they are laceless which is good for travel.

me personally, i try to stick to a lot of wool when i travel. the old camping adage :cotton's rotten. wool can usually be worn more than once, if you hang stuff up at night they air out well, and if you get good quality wool that can be washed, the stuff usually dries over night (cotton does not).

so for this time of year, wool socks, boxer briefs, thermals, sweaters, are all key. then a good pair of jeans or cords, one do everything shoe, maybe a black dress shirt and a white dress shirt and a wool coat. i've been traveling about every two weeks for the past few months, and this setup has been pretty good.

thepropertyof.com has come great bags, as well as porter.

also looking into a cheapo netbook like the msi wind. 350 bucks, 2.5 pounds.

oh yeah, my black dress shirt has some stretchiness to it and doesn't wrinkle, that's pretty key. the stretch is much more comfortable than traditional cotton.

and i'm getting a little crazy lately. i have worn dior homme deoderant for about 4 years now and they don't have a travel size, so i bought a little travel container and melt by deoderant down into the travel size to save space.

i could go on and on

Nike's, Ag's or Levis and a T. Dressing up for flying is just dumb, everything gets all stretched out and out of place and by the time you land it feels tacky.
