What do you think of this McQueen jacket? Would you wear it?

Would you wear this Alexander McQueen field jacket? http://www.mrporter.com/product/176065

Something about it seems off to me and reminds me of Michael Jackson or high school band rather than the military, but i can't place it. Overall I really like the piece, except maybe in a darker blue or charcoal. Is it the medium blue that throws it off or the tight button column? I ended up taking a risk on it but am kind of regretting it already and haven't received it yet.

Thanks! That must be it. I knew there was something that looked odd but wasn't sure what it was. It looks like a cross between those mao suits and a high school band jacket? Must be the button stance/color. Guess I'll probably end up returning it.

Yes, send it back IMO, Theres more often than not a reason for a huge discount! Several reasons jump out r.e. the overall design of this jacket but primarily the material is not really correct for a field jacket style.
