Retail of 1800, found it for 70%. I'm fond of it though I'm not sure where I'd wear it. I don't hunt or go on safari.

$540? I'd pass. It looks cool but that's a bit pricey for something that would get very infrequent wear IMO.

Good find. I am particularily fond of the pockets as well as the color.

Perhaps this style was inspired by Tajikistan tax police.

I like it. Wear with turtleneck, or v neck and shirt and tie, for ex. Or over casual blazer.

What's it made out of? Personally, I couldn't imagine spending that much unless the odd design elements were exactly your style: I'd just get a simple tan jacket in linen, instead.

I'm having hard time deciding. I like the jacket but can't tell straight away what to wear it with.

I have seen it in the stores and love it. It is definitely over a sweater and cords. I would go for it.

I've been thinking of ordering something like that in tan or cream linen since seeing Raiders of the Lost Arc for the first time a couple of weeks ago.

Would never have thought of that styling with what looks like a heavy fabric but I think it's different in a good way.

I have a brown corduroy Polo jacket along those lines: outer limits of sport coat styling (throat latch, four buttoned patch and flap pockets, shirred back). Worn casually it's great...I wouldn't have paid $540 for it though.

Yes to the outerwear, but I'm about 65% sold on it.. I just thought it was interesting enough to post.

If anyone is interested : here it is. http://www.vivre.com/browse/product.jsp?p=P27759
