What do you think of these jeans?

Should I get them?

Are they "played out"? Gimmicky? What is the perception of people wearing these jeans?

For the record, they are Evisu Genes Five Pocket 'EV' Straight Leg Jeans (selvage) with creasing and a painted 'EV' on one back pocket and a seagull painted on the other. Button fly, made by Evisu Genes. Ad says they're imported, but that probably doesn't mean Japan - most likely Macau or China or Hong Kong or somewhere that is decidedly not Japan (sorry - veering off into a different thread...)

They're ugly and ill fitting. Also too much like other trendy jeans. It's too bad Evisu has diverted their energy toward making jeans for the AmJack and hiphop market. I have two older pairs that I really like. Of course, they were both raw.

Depends on why you're wearing them. Most of the denimheads/purists of these boards are going to disapprove. I think they're garish and as previously stated, ill-fitting. I'm sure, however, someone out there would like them.

Thanks for your replies... I'd have to agree. Part of me wanted them to be a "must have" because they're on sale for only $169. (Didn't want to post the link before, but I will now, since I'm not going to get them: http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/2897319/...bo=6007567&P=2)

Side note: would someone please explain how to turn a long URL link (like the one above) into a single "clickable" word like so many of you do? Thanks in advance...

Thanks for the link...

Not to hijack my own thread (haha) but how did you turn "online store" into a clickable link?

This sounds like a video game now.

"How do I get the mighty pantaloons of protection with the gull wings on them?"

"Do you already have the magic 45RPM bandana?"

"No."

"Oh, right, you need to get that and bring it to the Keeper of the Selvage. Make sure you've found the Hidden Rivets first, though."

"Oh, awesome, thanks!"

Remember that the key to beating the Master of the Italian Dungeon (Borrelli-Man) is just to chain Protection from Foppery spells while holding back enough Selvage Power to use the Moderator summon. Your Denim Snobbery Shield doesn't work because his Neapolitan Snobbery sword cancels it out.

That's great! I get it now.... So the direction I should probably head is PBJ or 45rpm...

Sorry they look like crap.
Now because I hate Evisu or anything, but those backpockets look disgusting.
