the trousers are light blue wool and the jacket is wool herringbone

Personally not into that combo. Some suggestions:

1. Pants: Try pants in light grey, mid gray, or tan.

2. Shirt: Try a light blue shirt. You can also try shirts with white and blue stripes.

light blue trousers don’t match well with the brown/earth tones on top.

I don't feel there is enough contrast between the shirt and jacket. Go for a light blue shirt for a better look.

I don’t mind that shirt and jacket combo if you’re going for a sort of weekend casual. The colors complement each other. In that case I would consider a pair of selvedge jeans—a newish pair that’s still quite dark.

But if this is meant for office casual, I agree with other posters to ditch that shirt and change the trousers.

The colors go well together but I'm not sure how they're gonna look when you try them. But try another shirt, more casual maybe, a t-shirt could work

The jacket and the shirt go together nicely. Both are pleasant, warm colors.
The trousers are a cold, light blue, and thus not the best fit in my eyes. They'd be much better with a navy blazer.
