What do you think about the Santoni Bristol?

Looks nice, but I would go with the AE Evanston for half the price. It is pretty much exactly the same styling as that pair of Santonis.

I've noticed that Santoni's being offered in the United States are more conservative with their designs, as compared to what they sell in Asia (and probably Europe). Most of the models I've seen, say in Hong Kong, have a more "fashion forward" style. Different markets I guess. In any case, those Bristols are one of the best looking tan sock models I've seen. I would assume it looks different from the AE Evanston because of the somewhat sharper shape of the last.

I have a pair of the Santoni Garson in black and although I like them, they are rather long and narrow. Mine are size 10.5 D but in hindsight I think a 10 E would have been better. The leather is good, better than on my black AE Moras, but not as good as my Crockett & Jones monkstraps. The Santonis are not goodyear welted, probably either Bologna or Blake (rapid); in any case they are much lighter and sleeker than just about all my other shoes of any make. The Santoni leather sole is thicker than rest as well and has worn extremely well.

Of the two Santoni shoes mentioned in this thread, the Garson is more versatile for sure, but I think the shape of the Bristol is more appealing.
