Do you listen to Classical? Heavy Metal, Vocal Trance? The TV? Or the simply silence? Or something else altogether?

Personally, when ironing I like either a symphony or opera, once in a while I'll watch TV, whereas when shining my shoes I listen to Classical piano, mostly Chopin (although that would really be Romantic music, no?).

OK, I think we've all pretty much gone past the pale.

Sigh.

I watch South Park.

Usually I watch some TV (lots of History or Discovery), though sometimes I'll listen to a little metal. Classical (especially concertoes or piano) is for cleaning the house.

The O'Reilly factor. South Park. The McLaughlin Group. Or the live Led Zeppelin DVDs that came out about a year ago.

Outside of Zep, my kind of viewing.

I tend to play music that reflects my mood. Could be Prodigy, could be old U2, could be Rachmaninov...whatever gets me through the drudgery of ironing.

At the risk of sounding like Ernest, but towards my French, which device do you want me to pass on badly?

Jon.

I usually put on a dvd just to listen to, can't really watch and iron at the same time.

Usually TV (old movies), sometimes radio--a mix format, called Ted-FM.

Used to iron to McLaughlin, but that was when I lived in Maine and McLaughlin was on Sunday afternoons.

TV when ironing. Nothing special what ever i'm in the mood for. And i usually don't watch or listen to anything when polishing my shoes, i just enjoy the silence. Occasionally i'll put something real chill on like ambient or something like death cab for cutie or the decemberists.

The dog barking (anthropomorphising--get your ass in gear and take me outside to pee). Are you guys so organised that you iron and shine at night?

I typically iron a week's worth of shirts in a batch on Sunday. I imagine I'm one of the few men who irons while watching the NFL or Nascar. (And perhaps the only man who watches Nascar and irons.)

Like Renault, I basically just listen to the TV and look up for the interesting replays.
