The Alternative Apparel stripes are a bit thicker than I prefer. American Apparel's version has the perfect stripe width but I've never heard good things about them. And I agree you dont want the stripes *too thin* either.

Yohji Yamamoto did an interesting take on the horizontal striped tee this season (in s/s, l/s, and henley versions), where the stripes are kinda spliced in half and then lined up asymmetrically...they looked good on the rack but after trying them on unfortunately the effect was kinda awkward. maybe someone else can look good in them.

^^ Paul Smith did a similar effect in his mainline polos this S/S and I also thought the end result awkward and very unflattering

I prefer a simple t-shirt with horizontal stripes than a t-shirt with a large logo or brand name.

i agree they look dope in flics and on the rack, but hard to wear sometimes, I have a visvim light sweater in white with thin black stripes, and right away i was told i should be eating a bagguette. maybe thats not bad tho www.hyrcollective.com

Why? I've got a basic white and grey striped V-necked tee from AA that is great.

I wanted the black and grey long sleeve but the $520 price tag stopped me before I could try it on.

20 000 Japanese yen = 196.62 U.S. dollars
