I personally love their shoes. I've got several pairs of laceups and loafers. The quality is good as they hold up well, and the price point (most of their shoes are under $200) is very affordable. Anyone have any negative experience with J&M shoes?

I had the same experience as you. I bought a pair of oxford's and they held up for a year of heavy wear. Great quality for a great price.

Great shoes, great styles, great price. They have some good looking shirts and sportcoats in their catalogs and at their stores as well, but I've never tried their clothing.

For just a little more, I think Allen Edmonds is the better quality shoe. And, they have a terrific restoration program which can make an old pair of shoes seem like new. It's a great value and a great program.

I love my J & M's. ( 2 pairs of Paytons, Black and Light Brown) The only problem is that I bought them out of town and the sales woman sold me the wrong color choe cream for the light brown and when I applied it, I basically ruined my shoes. I removed much of the excess dark cream, but I am still unhappy with their discoloring. Other than the uninformed saleswoman, I have been more than happy. Maybe she was new...
