I'll give it a try...

It looks bland. I would have worn a raincoat like this in school, also black, to blend in. For a young person this coat seems fine. I have a Drizabone coat in the sand color, which is a little less bland, but just as shapeless, not a city style. Now, all growed-up, I yearn for an overcoat instead. The latter would have visible buttons, stronger lapels, be knee-length, in a windowpane or check... be bespoke...

The site claims this resembles Lt. Columbo's coat. It lacks many of the details. For more fashion information about that coat than you'd ever imagine see: http://www.columbo-site.freeuk.com/raincoat.htm. I hope you have some tea.

Overall, a functional raincoat and possibly a nice cloth, but bland.

Classic style, scary price.

If you're going to spend that much, why not get something more distinctive?

If you don't want to spend that much, I bet you can find something similar for less.

The price does seem outrageous, but because of my size, a lot of the RTW stuff just doesn't fit me. APC's stuff fit me and I am thinking about getting this coat, but I thought about getting some opinions first.
