I am the same way. I mean, my face gets wet in the shower, but I never wash itwith soap. Same deal as far as shaving. I don't like to bother with creams etc.

I was thinking much along the same line.

I do not exfoliate, except for what comes off when I shave.

My gardener, however, does on occasion do some exfoliation.

I'm sorry but this whole business of only washing your face once a month is disgusting.

I use Neutrogena antibacterial liquid soap daily on the aforementioned T zone. Nothing else ever gets on my face (including shaving cream, lotion, etc). I guess I have good skin. Either that or I just don't muck it up with a pile of chemicals.

Try a natural product for dermabrasion.
I use cornmeal. You can buy these kind of products at a health food store.
I spent my youth on the beach.
There isn't much to do for that now but any kind of exfoliating will
make your skin look more alive.Even mine.
I'd stay away from the chemicals.

You have to moisturize if you care about your skin.

if you have sensitive skin, stay away from some of the harsher clay masques and scrubs. you'll break out like crazy. Just use a face wash with salicylic acid and a masque of your choice, preferably gel which are usually mild.

Hundred and thousands of years have gone by and people have managed to not burst into flames if they don't moisturize. People with dry skin should moisturize. Nobody else "has to" use anything.

I use a gentle face wash daily, shave 5 times aweek, with a face scrub a couple of times a week. If I feel like I need some additional cleaning, I'll use witch hazel after the shave. FLMountainMan may have a point (which someone elaborated on) about stripping the natural oils from the skin. How necessary is exfoliating?
It creates a vicious cycle, removing the skin's oils, then using multiple products just to replenish that lost moisture.

...if you care about your skin.
That's the point.
It's a suggestion, not a command from the Nazi Ministry of Skin Control.
