IT 2nd Line Support manager in the City of London. I wear a suit or sports jacket ,shirt ,tie and dress shoes to work every day bar Friday where I wear chinos and a polo shirt on a dress down day. Most people don't wear ties but it's still a professional environment and they way I dress brings only positive compliments . In fact people were shocked when I came in a couple of times during the heat wave this summer without a tie and jacket.

It seems like i am the only blue collar guy here. I'm a CNC operator in the brake disc department of a well known German car brand. No Sartoria at work whatsoever, but our work trousers are high rise with double pleats imagine that.

In the old days even gardeners seem to wear ties...

Unsuccessful film producer, somewhat more successful film executive producer/closer (helping other producers procure and structure financing for their films, and then my real specialty is managing the closing of the financing - a small but sufficiently lucrative niche). I work from home and have meetings every now and again, for which I usually wear a shirt, jeans or chinos, and a sport coat.

Medical field here; however, the hospital system that employs me is a large organization so we are very business-like (e.g., suits/SC) when not in the usual white garbs.

Lawyer. However my work environment is business casual (dress shirt with pants; no tie or jacket unless meeting clients), and it makes me sad I dont have excuses to get 4 or 5 suits :(

Haha, guess that explains why I have 40 posts in 5 years...

Yeah but this is hardly a representative sample. Most of the people on this thread I barely recognise their user name!

True, I’m convinced that most of the NYC crew are bankers and lawyers just by virtue of the fact that we all come off as assholes in our posts haha

We're using the wrong metric. By post and responses alone, Foo represents at least 50% of the forum.
