I am a lacto ovo vegetarian have been for over 30 years.

In summer I eat a lot of salads, but will add fried halloumi or marinated tofu. We eat a lot of Asian style rice paper rolls. So for me its a diet high in greens and rich in fiber.

And I also enjoy pizza home made of course with a variety of toppings.

I enjoy an egg and also cheese, both good sources of protein.

I tend to eat small meals about 5 a day, and that includes two pieces of fruit, sadly with all the rain stone fruit this year in Oz has been bad, Mangoes when you find them cost an arm and leg.

As for bread I eat Spelt or Rye and make sure its sourdough. I think there is enough information out there to enable people to make informed choices about their diets.

Its easy to learn to cook for yourself and its a skill which I have used over the years to get laid numerous times by impressing a woman with my culinary skills.

Oh and chocolate I am a fiend for that but in moderation of course.

eggs, organic veg and fruit (low sugar ones anyway), beans, nuts, lean meats, whole milk, free range chicken and wild caught fish. pretty much everything else has no place in a diet.

Health officials are changing their minds every other day about what foods are good for you and which ones aren't. I just read an article that said that too many antioxidants might be bad for you... and this after years of shoving acai berries down our throats. So I've come to the conclusion that you should just eat as chemical and pesticide free as possible - since clearly that's not good for you - and avoid processed foods and I think you can't really go wrong. Because there's no way I can give up my acai smoothie now.
