What do I do with this tie?

pshht. Only small-timers put ties in a sock drawer.

Right? If I was going to use drawers for my ties now, I would need a whole bureau.

The tie looks okay to me. I think black or yellow suits will match well.

Color is a bit much, but the neat pattern saves it. It is versatile, sure.
Nothing wrong with the purple. It's not at all bright anyway.
Actually, I think that it would be great with a grey suit, and either a white or a very light blue shirt.
Oh come on, what wouldn't work with a grey suit and a white shirt?

That's certainly not an exhaustive list of where I keep my ties... or my socks. In fact, ties and socks seem to abound everywhere in my house. Although, one particular place where I keep ties is, I think, particularly exciting: I hang my bow ties on an Artemide Tolomeo lamp that stands on my dresser such that the second limb is parallel to the ground. It looks really sharp, actually.

You're right. Like I said, I just have incredibly boring color taste.

I think a light purple shirt and a dark suit (navy or grey) will go nicely with your tie, maybe a black suit for a more formal event.

2nd White shirt light gray suit. Or cut it up and make it a pocket square.

I posted some on here somewhere in a thread having to do with how you store ties, hung or rolled. I'll see if I can dig it up. IF not, I'll snap one when I get "the box" ;)
