In the Romanian community my wife is known as one of the best bakers of cozonac, a sweet bread usually made around holiday time. It's an all day affair to make, lots of ingredients, has to proof 3 times, can't rush it. It took a while but now she has it down to a science. The house smells glorious when it's baking.

Seems the further East you go in the world the better for making wives the women are.

that's right, then you get to Asia where women know how to cook, clean and hold down a household. American women are lazy. They don't teach home ec in public schools anymore. I guess it's too "sexist" to know how to cook anymore.
