I wouldn't call it "en salade" any more than I would call lobster claws mitts.

Mint, pepper and orange flower water.

just came back from some neighborhood place, had an awesome croque madame and green salad for lunch.

tbh the more I think about momofuku and the success that surrounds it, the more I am befuddled. I read David Chang's recipes, I've seen pictures of all of his different dishes, I just can't get over how crap it is. When I was in NYC the the thought of going over there crossed my mind but I quickly struck it off the list. Is this stuff white people like? I really don't understand. Half of it is like food that some cheap Shinjuku izakaya in front of Shinjuku's east exit with a 1980 yen/head 'party plan' with 'free drink plan' would serve, and half is sloppy Korean-Japanese fusion food with a metric fuckton of pork, so in other words, a lot like what shitty 'fusion izakayas' in Seoul serve.

so is lobster the new fig for MGM?

ALSO BECAUSE YOU FUCKING NOOBS DON'T KNOW ANY BETTER YOU QUOTE ANYTHING VOX OR F. CORBERA SAYS DUMBASSES.

For dinner I had Keller's roast chicken. I think it is possibly one of the best dishes you can have.

Was a touch overdone, which is funny because I took it out five minutes early.

skin looks a little greasy and pallid there, edina.

Your truss looks vaguely S&M like.

Yeah, I had just basted it with the juices combined with bad light and cellphone camera. I don't know how to truss prettier and I don't care to learn, I only cook for myself.

Your trussing could have something to do with why it was overcooked in places. Just saying.

    A) I won't cook for my roommates, one is a vegetarian, one is a quasi-vegetarian who has really weird beliefs about food
    B) I don't like having people over during the week
    C) On weekends I usually only eat one meal a day and that's breakfast for which I usually go out.

Yeah, I'm really weird like that...I have no idea how all that happened :embar:
