What did you eat last night for dinner?

I'd be very happy if I received that breast at a restaurant. The fat looks rendered nicely. But I don't like whatever powder is sprinkled on it, IMO that makes the whole thing look like an unappetizing scab of sorts.

This one looks nicer to me, more focused. I assume that fuzz tastes good so I will not complain about it.

I'll agree with Manton about the focus of this one. I'd prefer to eat this one to your one from last night.

But I will still complain about the fuzz.

It's just bit of the spice I used to season the skin: cinnamon, coriander, cloves, and black pepper.

And I suppose the reason this dish is more focused is because it is just the breast. Yesterdays' was less focused on one particular element, as it was three different elements on one plate. And for what it's worth, although I enjoy the idea of serving x, y ways (when it is well executed), I probably prefer eating something like tonights' plate better.

i don't think the happy trail right there across the top of the meat is necessary, otherwise, nice.

The big problem with last night's was the two sauces. The other stuff was arguably a matter of opinion but that was a mistake.

It was just two smears of grape. Not really a whole other sauce.

Ate at the Bristol with my dad tonight.

Had some regular menu items which were all good but particularly enjoyed a salmon pastrami and a great merguez sausage.

Had not had that type of sausage before (this one was lamb although it used pork fat back) and I would be interested to try more.

eating delivery chinese food. Very different from Korean delivery Chinese food. I like it, it tastes like carnival food or something.

Going to some Sunday antiques market with my parents as a kid and getting the fried noodles with cabbage and sprouts is one of my best childhood memories, and this tastes just like them. Used to sit in the back of this old Volvo 240 wagon we had and eat noodles, because it was always inevitably raining, and then take a long nap all afternoon. Apparently I was 30 when I was 5. Good eating.
