1. I'd like to announce that animated avatars are now available again. You'll have to reload, but they are once more possible.

We've been doing a ton of work behind the scenes. The site load speed was already under 1/2 of what Huddler's was, on average, and we installed cloudflare, which means that the site should be even faster. A ton more will go on in the weeks and months to come, and some things will be more visibile, and some less.

    Cheers,

    Fok.

I don't know if I'd call that a salad... but I'm sure it was delicious

Also, I have to give props to mm for being able to take all this shit talking. I'm not sure what it is about the internet but I have a hard time believing you guys would criticize somebody you knew in person like this (eg likening somebody's cooking to dog shit).

Meh. Skin's too underdone on the dark meat for my liking.

That salad plate looks like a collection of spores for lab assessment.

(not you mm, though your salad looks a bit precious for me but the chicken looks nice)

Of course I would if they opened themselves up for it

MM knows what he's doing when he posts a picture of a plate of segregated vegetables and calls it a salad

Chicken looks as though it needed some more time. Did you take that picture before it was done?

No. Had I left it in any longer, the breasts would have been dry and overcooked.

Here's another shot, in different lighting:

You should see how I treat my staff when they do shitty food then.

And FWIW, calling that a salad doesn't bother me.

Looks a little bit better but the joint areas are a little to pale.

The chicken looks fine. Rambo is a peasant and probably lives for Costco rotisserie that has been cooking for a week. In all seriousness, mm, the only thing to look out for on the chicken is that you don't have the legs trussed back tightly enough, so you are getting drier on the breast than you might want. The "salad" is silly. Just sayin'.

While this is technically correct, I don't care for the Costco chickens. WAY too much sodium solution added (its something like 20%). I like my birds like I like my women - meaty and golden brown.

    Cheat day Wednesday:

Pancakes - too thick and required half a bottle of syrup
    [IMG]

Croissant french toast - not as awful as it sounds, surprisingly
    [IMG]

    Chocolate cigar
    [IMG]

Nutella crepe - not enough Nutella and a bit overcooked
    [IMG]

Fried conch - best thing I had all day
    [IMG]

    Conch fritters
    [IMG]

Ribs - these were a letdown. too fatty and too chewy
    [IMG]

Philly cheesesteak - extra meat, extra wit, onions
    [IMG]

    Fries
    [IMG]

    a bag of these
    [IMG]

    gelatto for dessert
