I had a Filipino Beef Short Ribs for dinner at a friend’s place and I can tell you I still have the after taste.

Is the only place to get them on their website? They seem really pricey.

A simple saute of peppers, squash, eggplant, and green beans all 10 minutes removed from my momma's garden. Yum. Finished with a touch of white wine, heirloom tomatoes, and a pat of butter.

    Tonight, ratatouille (sans saffron)

They are way expensive, base model is $400.

I have seen them in retail stores but mine was purchased from their website.

I think the best deal on Vitamix is at Costco. It's something like 650 but comes with 2 extra bowls which are 150 each and a bunch of other crap you probably don't need. I got mine at Bed Bath and Beyond with a 20% off coupon, but the coupon specifically says it can't be used on Vitamix so I can't guarantee that.

Actually, Costco is now selling the standard model. It comes with the short jug and goes for $380 I believe. The road shows are the best times to buy because you get your choice of color (black/white/silver) and the large jug for the same $380.

eBay is also a good source if you don't mind buying refurbished. I believe it still has the same warranty.

Quail stuffed with foie gras and chanterelles. (Bad picture and lousy plating, but quite scrumptious).

I'd love to have that quail in mid October.

Why? Do you think it will be cured of whatever disease it has by then?

It's been unseasonably cool, as of late.
