Nope. They just opened one near my house in Bellevue a few months ago. First time I tried to go about three weeks ago, wait was 2 hours and they had a 10 person line for the bar. By the way, if anyone DOES end up going to the Bellevue branch, and sitting at the bar, this is the guy you want serving you:

Aah - that explains it. New location and all... it'll die down.

Meanwhile, have you been to Dumpling Master? That's also quite good, and nice hot pots too.

Nope. I'll keep my eye out for it next time I decide to go to California though.

Went back to Annisa last night for the first time since it reopened and thought it was much better than I remembered it to be, though still not as good as it's reputation/hype.

Between wife and I, we had the following:

Barbecued Squid with thai basil and fresh peanuts
Seared Foie Gras with soup dumplings and jicama
Pan Roasted Filet Of Monkfish with savoy cabbage, langoustine and ankimo, chicken liver sauce
Veal Tenderloin And Sweetbread with artichokes, oyster and black truffle sauces
Pecan And Salted Butterscotch Beignets with bourbon milk ice\tÂ
A Tasting Of Chocolate And Malted Desserts

The foie gras dumplings were truly excellent, and so was the veal dish. The monkfish could have been perfect if the chicken liver sauce was not so salty. Surprisingly, the beignets were outstanding (and I am really not a fan of fried desserts).

Don't think so, more our picks I guess. Also, neither of these mains were truly surf & turf, mostly using the other realm for sauce or to enhance the dish. The monkfish dish was 90% seafood and the veal dish was 90% meat.

Went back to Seafood City today and picked up a striped bass. Roasted it whole on a bed of onion, lemon slices, parsley and grated ginger. Served on a bed pea leaves sauteed with ginger, jalapeno, garlic and mirin.

Flat Iron Steak: S&P, Cayenne, and dark brown all around the outside and blue inside.

First time eating this steak, and its really good, probably my new favourite. And dirt cheap. Actually, its horrible, noone ever buy one.
