Medium rare sirloin steak, salt and pepper, approximately 8oz

Bacon, applewood smoked, no nitrites, crispy, approximately 12oz.

Tang, orange, strong. Approximately 32 oz.

Dude, 3/4 pound of bacon? Holy crap that's macho.

Sweet! Is Tang still regularly available in supermarkets? My brother and I loved Tang when we were growing up. I have not had it in, probably, 25 years or so.

3/4 of a pound is nothing. It was a light dinner.

Tang is still readily available in MY grocery store, but I buy it at Costco instead in the 4lb 5oz can. I drink a lot of Tang.

Had a big, fantastic lunch on the company dime, so I went light - a fruit smoothie and a scone. More of a tea, really, but it def hit the spot...

    What was the lunch?

Right now, my wife is preparing some Shabu Shabu [IMG] I just made the sesame sauce: grind sesame seeds, add some sesame paste, miso, soya sauce, mirin, vinegar.

The Shabu Shabu was indeed delicious. The trick is to have excellent beef and since i live in Kobe...[IMG]

But that gnocchi and rack of lamb sound outstanding as well. I like it the lamb.

A big bowl of dry-braised string beans with lots of red pepper, pretzel bread and part of a leftover quesadilla. Lemonade mixed with pomegranate juice.

Always orange? I remember when they came out with the grape version - my brother and I were seriously stoked.
