I just won a Zilli tie. I'll post back if I get it (you may have to remind me).

I would have to assume, based on his inventory, that they are real. I say this because while someone might take the time to fake a Brioni, it is highly unlikely that they would go to the trouble of faking a Zilli, which, while among the best RTW in the world IMHO, is not well known enough that you'd get so many people looking for them. At any rate, I'll let you know when I know.

The Hermes ties are fakes. No Hermes tie has either an additional tie keeper above the label or an additional logo printed in the lining on the reverse side of the tip. The new linings are black with an H monogram while the older linings are plain and the same color as the ground of the tie.

Yes, I agree on the 'not well known' part. I don't recall ever seeing them discussed. There seem to be several of them on ebay, though. They look nice.

Well hell, let's hope Stu is right. I ordered one today, $35 plus shipping, so it isn't a terrible loss if it isn't authentic.

It seems there are a couple of e-bay sellers located in the Middle East region selling boat loads of Brioni ties for very good prices. Some of the ties look quite good and I have been tempted to purchase one, but I cannot seem to get over that feeling of uncertainty about the sellers.
