My guesses: PL - Polyester Polyester fabrics are claimed to have a "less natural" feel when compared to similarly-woven fabrics made from natural fibers (i.e. cotton in textile uses). However, polyester fabrics may exhibit other advantages over natural fabrics, such as improved wrinkle resistance. As a result, polyester fibers are sometimes spun together with natural fibers to produce a cloth with blended properties. PU - Polyurethane A thin film of polyurethane is added to a polyester weave to create polyurethane laminate (PUL), which is used for its waterproof and windproof properties in outerwear, diapers, shower curtains, and so forth. PV - Polyvinyl? VI - Viscose Viscose is a soft material, used in mostly tops, coats and jackets. Viscose is currently becoming less common because of the polluting effects of carbon disulfide and other by-products of the process, forcing the Bridgwater factory to close in 2005.

fredddddy,

If it's a down jacket/windbreaker type jacket, those materials sound fine. If it's a suit or a sweater or something... I dunno...
