What color would you call this

Durrr, blue. How would I explain this color to a suit maker? Mid blue? I'm not sure I've ever seen anything as light as the first picture in person. Would love to have one.

That first pick at the tailor, the color doesn't look very flattering, reminds of washed cheap jeans. The other picture looks like it could be a bluer petrol blue, maybe even a navy that is more blue. I dunno. Best to check out cloth in person of course or at the least browse for a cloth and have name provided by a merchant like on here http://www.hfwltd.com/ Edit. Yea Spoo's suggestion is closest to getting a fabric of that color just by name as opposed to honing in on a pattern no. AF blue and petrol blue will get you the closest to that color.

I've seen a length of cloth like on Roger described as french blue.

Royal Blue to me

That's marine blue. It's similar to royal blue but marine has a green cast while royal has a purple cast. Air Force blue is a much more muted colour and french blue is lighter.

Air force in the flesh doesn't look like anything on the Minnis website...
