What color sole looks best with Grey

Going to make a custom shoe It's going to be grey suede and the shoe is going to look something like this

The suede is going to be along the lines of this color





Now should the sole be black, that gummy brown that it is in the above picture, or chocolate brown. Hell do you guys have any ideas on what color the sole should be?
I'd generally plan to wear it with dark colors.

An off white, almost beeswax. Should be clean and simple.
