What color shirt and pants would work with this blazer

Question is in the topic. Was gifted this blazer/sport coat. I've only really worn navy blazers, so this is a bit of uncharted territory for me. Not really sure what color pants or shirt to wear it with. Shirt, I was thinking white is probably the easiest.

Would a tie work well with it?

TIA!

Any chance you can take a photo which better represents the color? I can't tell if it's grey or brown and whether the check is purple or burgundy (though it's hard to tell sometimes regardless). I'm a fan of isaia (have like 20+ sport coats and suits total from them...) so I appreciate the pickup but sometimes their color schemes/patterns on jackets require some advanced considerations.

If it's a grey based coat, then your trouser options are really only a dark grey trouser or you can try the opposite and choose a cream/white trouser to get the contrast. You can use a dark forest green trouser as a grey substitute as well depending on how confident you are. If it is a grey coat then I'd argue you can use a white shirt or even light blues and pinks [which should pick up/complement check in purple/burgundy].

If the jacket is really a taupe/brown, then the trouser options are similar (either super dark trouser or super light) but I'd argue a white shirt doesn't really go--stick with lighter blues and pinks.

You can wear a tie, but again it will depend on the color scheme of everything. May make sense to keep something more simple given the big pattern on the jacket or something more casual depending on this jackets fabric (e.g. flannel).

It’s a mostly unlined summer jacket so I’d stick with white or cream trousers. Shirt color (in solid) would depend on the actual color of the jacket, or be safe and wear white. I’d choose a dark silk knitted tie with a subdued (or no) pattern.

like, most. Brown check jackets are kinda basic and really versatile in terms of color pairings.

Most shades of blue, green, brown, white and off-white. And also a lot of statement colors. I'm sure burgundy and pink trousers and chinos can work. Pastel pink shirts could work too. Yellow OCBD? sure.

Have you tried anything, or did you just come here assuming it would be hard?

Thanks for the responses everyone. I greatly appreciate the feedback so far. I included another up close photo of the sport coat to better distinguish the color.

Unfortunately, my pants selection is in need of an overhaul which is partly why I posted here. Here is what I have tried, as pictured:

Sky blue shirt w/ navy pants
Lilac shirt w/ light grey pants
Lilac shirt w/ Khaki colored pants
Lilac shirt w/ medium grey pants
Lilac shirt w/ light-medium brown pants

Unfortunately, it is a little short by about 1-1.5." Covers a touch more than half my rear. Ideally I would return it, but not able to do so.

Тут пишут,что пиджак коротковат, скорее не пиджак коротковат, а рукава длинноваты... Брюки можете подобрать любого оттенка, который присутствует в цветах этого пиджака. Галстук, почему бы и нет, трикотажный например
