Cost is unlined, loose fitting, and very casual. I imagine wearing it on cooler summer evenings, but am having trouble finding pants that look right. Is it that the coat fabric is too light?

    depends on what you want.

I wear gray trousers with tan jackets generally fall/winter and more toward pastel and primary colored pants in spring/summer, just my thing.

Thanks. I had been thinking that it might lend itself to brightly colored pants (which I do not own).

I usually wear light brown, olive, or navy (usually in the form of jeans). Gray seems like a pretty awkward pairing to me.

Such a thing would also lend itself to bright pants, if you had the attitude to pull it off.

    +1 for a bolder look.

+1 for a more restrained look.

+1 for something in the middle.

The brighter shade of navy would be nice more so during summer.

60% of the time I wear it with nice denim. Beige jacket, plain blue or striped/checked shirt, nice denim, nice pocket square, brown wingtips.
35% of the time I wear it with a blue or red striped/checked shirt, or a white OCBD, dark brown trousers, matching pocket square, brown wingtips. (maybe throw in a tie)
The rest of the time I just wing it. But I wear this jacket quite a bit in the spring and fall.

Nice, Ronald MacDonald originally had a beige jacket with his outfit as well.
