I'm transferring as a junior to either U Wisconsin Madison or U MN Duluth. I know Wisconsin is the more prestigious school but I'm trying to figure out if where I go really matters. I'm majoring in civil engineering. Anyone here hire engineers?

My wife has a dozen civil engineer PMs as her directs. I've never heard her talk about school as a resume high point and it seems they value not only experience but in what particular specialty. Also it seems to me, as a non-engineer, the PE weeds people out pretty effectively and you're career stunted if you don't get that.

Thanks. I've talked to a few people in the industry and they said as long as it's ABET accredited it doesnt really matter. Definitely trying to get a coop or an internship
